Disaster Recovery Unspooling

Disaster Recovery Unspooling
Posted 12/2/08

Customers exiting Disaster Recovery, while configured to Automatic unspooling, may not see their messages begin to automatically deliver. We are presently looking into the potential cause. In the meantime, administrators will first want to confirm the delivery location in the setup page of the console, and perform a successful connectivity test. In order to then begin to manually unspool messages, change the configuration to “Manual”, change the drop-down to “spooling is stopped,” and ensure that the “deliver spooled mail” box is checked. After clicking the Save button, re-check the Automatic radio button, and again click Save. The graphic should now show messages beginning to unspool. Please allow 10 minutes for the change to propagate through the system.

New Mail Delivery IP range

In order to provide the most timely processing of mail for all our customers, Spam Soap has recently added an additional range of IP addresses. Please note the new IP delivery range and netmasks in our “What are Spam Soap’s mail delivery IP addresses” FAQ on the left side of the support page. These ranges (in CIDR format) are as follows:

208.65.144.0/21
208.81.64.0/22
63.149.241.32/27

All three IP ranges are active as of November 15th, 2008, and will need to be added to firewall or mail server lock downs or mail provider White Lists by that date, in order to provide uninterrupted continuity of inbound mail flow.
